Do You Know Who Provides Your Phone Service?
Long Distance, in state, regional, international and calling card service that you think your are getting from a Large provider such as AT&T, Sprint, MCI, Worldcom, Quest may not be
who is really providing the service. It is very common for brokers, and independent telecom providers to tell you that if you use them that all of your calls are on one of the big
providers network. The actuality is that you are probably on some no name, fly by night provider who is doing switching in an office suite on computers that who make your PC at home
look like the defense computers at NORAD in comparison to the old 386 PC that they run on.
It is very simple to check who you Long Distance, Regional (instate or intraLATA) calling and local phone service. The check on your local is checked by calling Verizon or GTE or who
ever you think is your provider and asking them to confirm that your switched on their DSLAM (that’s what they call the telephone switch in the local office)
To check to see who your Long Distance telephone service provider is, is very simple. All you have to do is call the following number from your home telephone. This is an automated
system run by the FCC which is kept current by the local telephone company (this is why they are allowed to charge for the service of switching Long distance providers because they are
required to do the database updates in a timely manner). The number to call is (700)-555-4141
To check to see who your Regional (in state or intraLATA) telephone service provider is, is very simple also. All you have to do is call the following number from your home
telephone. This is an automated system similar to the system for the long distance except it is specific for each area code. This system is also updated regularly but if the change
is made concurrently with a change in Long Distance telephone service provider then there is no charge. The number to call is your area code-700-4141
The other advantage of this is so that you can check to see when your service is switched from your old provider to Capsule Communications and know exactly when your savings will
start. Also, if you sign up online and after 10 business days you have not been switched then you can go to CoVista Communications home page and either use the online system or call and check on your order. You can also e-mail us and we will check on your order status and send you all the information that you require.
This service, is of course free, and although most phone companies will never tell you this information the operators of CallforCharity.com are completely above board and want you to
make the best choice. The more you know about the service we provide the easier it is for us to prove that this is the best service available and that we are here to help our
members and the charities that we are proud to support.
Also, sign up for service is not required to use this service since it is actually run by the FCC and is therefore public domain information. Of course it is not published anywhere
else but it is available here and if you have any other questions about how your phone service works, what actually happens when you make a call or any thing else just e-mail us.
